The first Native Pastor to receive title to orders from the Mauritius Native Church Council. First Mauritius-born Indian ordained. Came as a Heathen Tamil boy into Archdeacon Hobbs' School at Crêve Coeur in 1867. 1872, entered Preparandi Institution, Beau Bassin.
