Of Mauritius. A Tamil. 1882, March 19, ordained a deacon and 1889, July 29, ordained a priest by Bishop of Mauritius. The first Native Pastor to receive title to orders from the Mauritius Native Church Council. First Mauritius-born Indian ordained. Came as a Heathen Tamil boy into Archdeacon Hobbs' School at Crêve Coeur in 1867. 1872, entered Preparandi Institution, Beau Bassin. Was for a time in Training Institution in Tinnevelly. 1890, Pastor, Northern Pastorate, stationed at St. Julien, Facq.
