Of West Africa. A Heathen, of the Mende Tribe. At Grammar School, Freetown and Fourah Bay College. 1867, to England and entered Church Missionary College, Islington. 1875, May 23 ordained a deacon and 1877, December 23, ordained a priest by Bishop of Sierra Leone. Engaged in translational work with Rev. H. Johnson; afterwards tutor at Fourah Bay College. Pastor of Hastings and Grafton.
