Of Hastings, Sierra Leone. Colony-born Christian of Yoruba descent. At Fourah Bay Institution. Schoolmaster and Catechist at Hastings, Moko Town, Waterloo, Magbele in the Timneh Mission, and the Bananas. 1861, February 24, deacon, and 1864, May 22, ordained a priest by Bishop of Sierra Leone. Stationed at Sierra Leone and the Bananas. 1862, transferred to Native Pastorate of Songo Town, Waterloo, and Bathurst. 1891, October 25, died at Sierra Leone. Brother of Charles Davies.
