Giyorgis, *Abunä *, was a Metropolitan of Ethiopia, probably a successor of *Abunä * Yeshaq. He was in office in 1225, and one tradition has it that in his time, in the reign of Emperor Lalibäla, the *Kebrä Nägäst *(“Glory of Kings”) was brought to Ethiopia.
