Catechist at Breadfruit, Lagos. 1876, March 5, ordained a deacon and 1879, March 9, ordained a priest by Bishop of Sierra Leone. Stationed at Ebute Meta, afterwards at Ode Ondo. 1893, to England–degree of D.D. conferred by Durham University–and June 29, consecrated at St. Paul’s Cathedral, by Archbishop of Canterbury, with Isaac Oluwole as Assistant Bishop in Western Equatorial Africa. 1893, November 11, to Lagos.
