Of Sierra Leone, West Africa. A Colony-born Christian of the Moko and Aku Tribes. At Fourah Bay Institution, and 1849, Church Missionary College, Islington. 1848, Catechist and Assistant Teacher at the Grammar School. 1850, December, to Sierra Leone as Tutor in Grammar School. 1856, June 8, Deacon, and 1863, February 1, ordained priest by Bishop of Sierra Leone. 1860, Principal of the Grammar School, Freetown. 1871, May 15, to England, and October 7, to Sierra Leone; 1877, May 16, to England, and November 3, to Sierra Leone. 1882, May 24, died. Brother of William Quaker.
