Of Hastings, Sierra Leone. A Colony-born African of the Aku, Eboe, and Moko Tribes. At Grammar School and Fourah Bay College, and a short time at Church Missionary College, Islington.** 1876, November 28, to Africa. Tutor in Grammar School. 1883, September 23, ordained a deacon and 1885, March 1, ordained a priest by Bishop of Sierra Leone, for Native Pastorate. 1886, Tutor at Fourah Bay College. 1892, Canon of Sierra Leone.
