Of Sierra Leone, West Africa. A Colony-born Christian of Yoruba and Owu Race. At Fourah Bay Institution, Freetown Grammar School. Catechist and Schoolmaster at Waterloo and Wellington. 1850, Badagry; 1852, Lagos; 1854, Otta. 1857, January 25, deacon, and 1864, May 22, ordained a priest by Bishop of Sierra Leone. Stationed at Otta, in the Yoruba country; afterwards at Ebute Meta. 1890, April 19, died at Lagos. Translated book of Joshua, 1 and 2 Kings, and 1 and 2 Chronicles.
