Of West Africa. A Heathen rescued from slavery. Moko Tribe. At Liberated African School and at Bananas Islands. A Catechist and Schoolmaster from 1835-56. 1856, June 8, deacon, and 1861, December 22, ordained a priest by Bishop of Sierra Leone. Stationed at Wilberforce, Freetown, and York. 1862, transferred to the Native Pastorate, and stationed at York and Hastings. 1859, appointed Honorary Secretary, Sierra Leone Auxiliary of Church Missionary Society Association; 1868, Garrison Chaplain; 1869-72, Honorary Secretary of Church Committee; also in 1872, Secretary of Church Council. 1876, September 20, died.
